Watertown HS Recap: Watertown 1, McBee 9
Watertown had one run, three hits, and three errors. Highlighted players are Nick Lavin who went two for three and Peter Victoria who had a single. Kenny Schimpf started the game but was relieved by Andrew Netto in the forth and then by Caleb Snell in the sixth.
Brockport HS Recap: Brockport 4, South County 2
Brockport battled back and forth for the win for five inning before getting ahead with Mitchell Henshaw grounding out to score Michael Jamele. Thomas Pauly went seven innings, allowing four hits, two walks, and no earned runs in seven innings.
Plattsburgh HS: Plattsburgh 10, Jamestown 7
Plattsburgh was down by seven runs in the second inning but scored six runs in the fourth inning lead by Ryan Walen who had three hits and two RBIs. He also pitched seven strong innings allowing two walks, three hits, one earned run, and striking out three.
Livonia HS Recap: Livonia 16, Fairview Kent 1
Livonia had 16 runs with the help of Reid VanScoter who pitched four innings, had nine strikeouts, and went three for three with three RBIs. Livonia had other strong bats with Maddox Minton went two for five with four RBIs and John Smith went two for three with three RBIs.
Laurens HS Recap: Laurens 0, Watertown 5
Laurens freshman Travis Bookhout may have lost but pitched well for his first varsity start. He gave up just five hits, two earned runs, and struck out six in six inning. The bats of Codi White, Joshua Wikoff, Travis Bookhout and a double by Michael Barra just were not enough to secure a victory.
Watertown's Notable Players:
Dan Olney went one for three with a double and two RBIs, Andrew Nettowent one for three with an RBI, and Chandler Burgenstock was one for three with an RBI. Their winning pitcher was Chris Bristow who started the game and went strong five innings.
Southwestern HS Recap: Southwestern 6, Newark 12
Southwestern's starting pitcher Luke Heil froze their opponents for the four innings he was on the mound. He allowed three hits, four walks, and no earned runs while striking out five. Even though Southwestern scored six runs it just wasn't enough to secure a victory against newark who had two, four run innings.
