Westfield Central HS Recap: Westfield beat Plattsburg 5-4
Nolan Hunt went 4inn, seven strikouts, one walk. Jon Wilson got the win. Joe Quagliana and Greg Schroeder each had two RBI’s with Schroeder hitting in the winning run in the seventh. 

Plattsburgh HS Recap: We lost 5-4 to Westfield (NY).Gerrit Rietsema started and took the tough-luck loss. He pitched 4 2/3 innings with 5 strikeouts and 3 walks, while giving up 5 hits. He was charged with all 5 runs but only 2 were earned. Plattsburgh had just 2 hits--singles by Andrew Bechard and Mike Stetz. After falling behind 4-0, the Hornets scored 4 runs in the top of the 5th to tie the score with the help of 2 errors and 2 walks. Ryan Whalen had a sacrifice fly in the inning. Westfield scored the winning run in the bottom of the 5th which was unearned. Westfield starting pitcher, Nolan Hunt, threw 4 shutout innings with 8 strikeouts, 1 walk, and 1 hit. He is committed to Division 1 Canisius College.

Livonia HS Recap: Livonia 13 Hastings 0.
Maddux Minton, 2016, RHP pitched four-innings allowing three hits three punch-outs and three walks. LHP/OF 2017, Reid VanScoter went 2-2 with a walk and three-runs scored. 2017, Brody Metcalf went 2-3 with two-RBI. Josh Henderson swiped four bases.

Maple Grove HS Recap: Maple 16   Laurens 0   5 innings
Maple Grove had 18 hits, combined one-hitter between Roach, Knipe and Jonah Tanner. Matt Roach threw a one-hitter through three complete with eight strikeouts. Jonah Tanner 2-4, Jed Micek 2-4 two-RBIs, Nolan Knipe 2-2, Trevor Micek 1-3, Brian Westerdahl 3-4 single,double and triple, Matt Roach 1-3, Kass Howard 3-3 three-RBIs, Brandon Reagle 1-2, Easton Tanner 2-4 (2019)

Laurens HS Recap: Maple Grove 16   Laurens 0
The Laurens Leopards had a tough go in their opening round match-up with Section Six's Maple Grove in the Mingo Bay Classic in South Carolina. A costly error in the second inning with two outs sparked an 11 run inning for Maple Grove. The Leopards struggled at the plate with freshman Travis Bookhout recording the only hit in the fifth inning shortened affair. Maple Grove was solid at the plate collecting 16 hits. Laurens will face Watertown at Noon at Conway High School on Tuesday.

Penfield HS Recap: Penfield beat Loris SC 10-5.  Top offensive performers included - Jake Hewitt 2-5 with a double and RBI, Ryan Kalfbus 2-3 with RBI and two-runs, Tony Argento 2-3 with RBI, run, stolen base.

Proctor HS Recap: Shaye Bartnick's big day not enough, as Varsity loses 10-4 to Proctor Despite a big day at the dish from Shaye Bartnick, who finished 3-4, Varsity lost 10-4 to Proctor at St James HS on Monday. Bartnick had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the first and sixth innings. Ryan Gloff was charged with the loss. He allowed seven runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out five. Proctor didn't relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the first inning when it scored on an error. A two-run sixth inning helped bring Varsity within six. A two-run double by Bartnick triggered Varsity's comeback. Braden Perry to end the Varsity threat.
