Scouting Report
Jenkins is 6-foot-2, 180 pounds and is a very dynamic, fast-twitched athlete. He has a strong, lean frame and moves extremely well. He pitched exclusively from the stretch and a high hands set. He lands across his body, restricting his hips and direction. He pitches with a long and clean arm action with elbow climb. He has rare, special arm speed that makes him an extremely high level prospect with a very high ceiling. He pounded the zone with his fastball and got over his front side well, particularly to his glove side. His fastball sat 88-90 and he topped out at 91 miles-per-hour. He also flashed a tilted slider at 73-76 miles-per-hour which has the potential to be a devastating wipe-out pitch. Only one hitter squared him up in his dominant 6-batter simulated inning. He also showed the ability to field his position. He is a very high upside prospect.
