Team New England Future Games Spotlight: Brenden Cournoyer, RHP

On July 30th through August 1st, PBR New England will take a select team of players in the Classes of 2017 and 2018 to represent the New England states at the PBR Future Games in Indianapolis at Grand Park.

Players receive exposure unlike any other event for underclassmen. Last year, 100+ colleges from all over the country were in attendance, including coaches from every Division I power conference in the country. Only players who have a legitimate shot at being a Division I recruit and who have an interest in the possibility of making a verbal commitment during their sophomore or junior seasons have been considered.

Past Showcase/In-Game Performances:
Date: 3/8/15
Scouting Report: 6-foot-4, 250-pound big body build. On the mound the right-hander has a quick tempo delivery that he is able to repeat. From a short, loose-¾ slot his fastball gets on you quick at 81-83 mph with arm-side run. Shows really good depth on his breaking ball at 67-69 mph with 11/5 10/4 tilt. Threw a changeup near fastball speed at 77-79 mph with occasional arm-side run.

How has PBR helped as far as recruiting and exposure: "PBR has helped by releasing stats from resent showcases and also releases videos of your performance."

Athletic awards or academic accolades that you have received (All-State teams, Preseason all-state teams, league honors, honor roll, etc): 2-time Perfect Game All-Tournament Team. Selected to the NEPSAC Founders league Underclassmen game.
