New England Top Five Breakdown: Top Viewed Prospect Profiles for New Hampshire - #4 Sam McCarthy
#4 Sam McCarthy, Nashua North, 2016 (Maine commit)
Background: Big and long right-handed pitcher who has a ton of potential. Sits in the mid-80s right now with downhill plane and throws strikes. The breaking ball is a plus pitch and sits 72-73 mph with good depth and is a swing and miss pitch. The changeup is a work in progress as he continues to tweak the pitch and make adjustments. His delivery has a little too much rotation in it, but has gotten more linear in the past couple months. Big time prospect for me.
Ranking: Taylor is ranked 11th in New England's 2016 class and 312th overall.
