New England Top Five Breakdown: Top Viewed Prospect Profiles for Massachusetts - #5 Ian Seymour
#5 Ian Seymour, LHP/OF, 2017 (Virginia Tech commit)
Background: Seymour is a 5-foot-11, 175-pound left-handed pitcher who sits in the mid-80s with the fastball. The heater is complimented by a upper-60s curve and a solid upper-70s changeup.
The southpaw can also swing the bat with some authority (87 mph exit velo) to go along with a solid glove in the outfield.
Seymour was a participant in one of PBR New England's first invite only events and has been on scouts radars ever since. The lefty has since committed to Virginia Tech and hopes to have a strong spring in 2016, his junior year of high school.
