Name: Brendan Madsen ----Madsen - brendanmadsen.jpg
 Position: OF
Class: 2016
Height/Weight: 5-foot-9, 150-pounds
High School: Bellevue West
Commitment: Seward County Community College

PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?
MADSEN: It felt like home when I visited Seward County.I really like the feel and coaches in the program.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
MADSEN: I was considering Wayne State, Central Missouri, Garden City, Allen County, Hill College, Southeast CC and Indian Hills.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
MADSEN: They saw me play in the fall, and just being able to talk with them in person and get to know them.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
MADSEN: Yeah a little bit, but at the same time it was nice to get contacted by the coaches and know that they were interested in me.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
MADSEN: When I took my visit down to Seward is what made it the top choice. Just being able to see what the school is like and the atmosphere made it different from the others that I had visited.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
MADSEN: I'd have to say my parents and the Bellevue West coaching staff. My parents have always supported me and pushed me to be better and my coaches have given time out of their days to work with us.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
MADSEN: It was harder than I thought it would be, and also trying to find the colleges that were a good fit for me and it has always been a grind.

PBR:What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
MADSEN: To develop my skills and help me get to the next level.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
MADSEN:  When I hit a 3-run HR against Creighton Prep.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
MADSEN: Matt Waldron. He was able to change speeds on the mound and absolutely fool people. He was a all-around great player.
