A lose to eventual state champion Springfield Catholic in the state quarterfinals ended Fair Groves season. Edwards was named first-team all-district and batted .390 with a .472 on-base percentage. He is ranked at the top of his class and gearing up for his senior season. Here's a look at what Edwards has going on.
PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?
Edwards: Truman State University, Harris-Stowe State University, Westminster College for football
PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future? If so, what schools, and how recently?
Edwards: I am planning on going to Truman in January for a camp and a campus visit.
PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)
Edwards: I am looking for a school with a Pre-Med program and good academics.
PBR: How did you do your junior year? What were your high school statistics? And how did your team do?
Edwards: I was voted 1st Team All-District Catcher (unanimous) and 2nd Team All-Conference Catcher. I batted .390 with 21 singles, 8 doubles, 1 triple, 7 RBI's, and 22 runs scored. I had a .472 OBP and a .974 fielding percentage, which led the team. As a team we went 16-11. We won districts. We then went on to win sectionals which was the first time in school history.
PBR: What are you goals for your senior season?
Edwards: I want to get All-State honors, lead the team again in fielding percentage, bat over .400, have 20 or more RBI's, win districts again, and make it to the state playoffs.
PBR: What travel team do you play for? Are you playing fall ball with a team?
Edwards: I play for the Fair Grove SABA team in the summer. No, our school does not offer fall baseball. Plus, I play football.
PBR: Do you play any other sports?

PBR: What are your ACT and GPA?
Edwards: My highest ACT score is 29. I am taking it again December 14, 2013. My GPA is 4.0 on a 4.0 scale. I am ranked #1 in my class.
