Shane Benes doubled, homered and drove in a run, while Bryce Bell, Brett Bond, Tyler Catlett, and Caleb Hicks drove in a run a piece to back Ben Lovell’s four hit shutout effort on the mound. 

No. 2 Parkway North 6   No. 8 Ladue 0
Sophomore LHP Joey Reeves threw six innings of shutout ball, showing good command of three pitches, impressing with his ability to field his position, and looking like a future ace as he quieted the Ladue bats. Reeves struck out five and scattered two hits, while not allowing a walk. 

Offensively, Noah Rosen led the North offense, with an RBI single in the first inning and a RBI double to deep right field in the fourth. 

No. 4 Notre Dame 14   New Madrid 0 (SEMO Conference Tournament)
Chase Urhahn’s lead off home run set the tone for Notre Dame’s offense as they pounded out 12 hits. Graham Ruopp picked up the win on the mound with a three hitter, eight strikeouts, and not allowing an opposing batter past second base. Chase Simmons went 3-for-3 with a double and four RBIs, Luke Haines 2-for-2 with a double, homerun and three RBIs, and Cody DeBrock 2-for-2 with a double, RBI, and two runs scored. 

No. 5 Jefferson City 14   Lebanon 11
In a slugfest that consisted of 25 runs, 26 hits, nine extra base hits and seven lead changes, Jefferson City came out on top 14-11. Dylan Brauner went a perfect 5-for-5 with singles in the first and third innings, a double in the fifth, and a triple in the seventh.  Corey Beard had three hits, including a homerun and drove in three runs and crossed the plate three times. Brenden Ogletree, Sam Atkinson, and Ripken Dodson also chipped in with two RBIs apiece. 

No. 6 Carthage 15   Macdonald County 1 

No. 7 Rock Bridge 9   Helias 12
Rock Bridge rallied from an early eight run deficit, but it still wasn’t enough as Helias upset the Bruins 12-9. 

No. 12 Vianney 6   Kirkwood 1
Jake Hemphill threw a complete game, allowing six hits and one earned run to lead Vianney over Kirkwood. Freshman Chris Cornelius drove home two runs on one hit and Nick Allgeyer doubled and drove home a run to lead the Vianney offense.

No. 13 Poplar Bluff 4   Dexter 1 (SEMO Conference Tournament)
Poplar Bluff scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth on a Logan Faith RBI single and a Cody Slusher two RBI double to pick up the win.   Lucas Tibbs and Faith combined to strikeout 13 Dexter hitters. 

No. 15 Blue Springs South 8   Liberty 2
Reece Eddins doubled and drove home three runs while Austin Simms had two hits and two RBIs to lead the Blue Springs South offense. 

No. 16 Forsyth 10   Ava 0
Forsyth defeated Ava 10-0. Alex Pate had a homerunand four runs driven in and Jay Kaufman had three hits, including a homerun and collected two RBIs. 

No. 17 CBC 7   Ft. Zumwalt South 2
Justin Paulsen and Matt Vierling each drove home two runs to lead CBC over Ft. Zumwalt South.  Matt Palmer picked up a complete game victory, scattering five hits and allowing two runs. 

No. 18 Holt 6   Washington 4
Grant Starke allowed two earned runs in five innings of work and Drew Kitson drove home two to lead Holt over Washington.

Hazelwood West 24   Hazelwood East 1
Hazelwood West pounded out 16 hits in making easy work of Hazelwood East. Carl Nichols led the offensive output going 3-for-6 with two doubles, six runs driven in, and three runs scored. Devin Williams chipped in with a 4-for-4 game with a homerun, five RBIs, and four runs scored, while Aaron Lohmann drove in four and Connor Manis drove in threw.  Brian Cole and Nick Boyd combined to allow three hits and strike out eight in five innings. 

Valley Park 15   Grandview 7
Austin Martin had a 3-for-4 game with a homerun, four RBIs, and three runs scored and Karl Wagner also drove home four to lead Valley Park to their 14^th win of the season. 

Parkway South 5   Marquette 2
A two run homerun by James Cummings in the third inning powered Parkway South over Marquette. Brad Nelson picked up the complete game win, scattering six hits and striking out four. 

Truman 9   Lee’s Summit North 4
Truman won their third in a row, defeating Lee’s Summit North 9 to 4. Lane Titus, Connor Polacek and J.T. Hayes each had two hits for Truman, with Polacek and Hayes also driving in two runs a piece. 

Sikeston 10   Kennett 6
Gavin O'Brien went 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs to lead Sikeston. In the losing effort, Kevonte Mitchell was 3-for-4 with a double, home run and thre RBIs. 

Kickapoo 6    Nixa 2
Logan Wiley improved his record to 5-1 on the season and Austin Tebo went 2-for-2 with two RBIs to lead Kickapoo 

Clever 21   Marionville 5
Tyler Martin picked up his eighth win on the year, improving to 8-0 on the mound.  Ranger Curtis hit two homeruns and Braydn Daniel and Chance Wolfe each homered to power Clever.

Oak Park 7   William Chrisman 0
Jonathan Riley threw a one hit shutout, striking out 11 batters to lead Oak Park over William Chrisman.

 

Ft. Osage 12   Raytown 1
Hayden Bumgartner and Chad Sutton each homered to power the Ft. Osage offense. Bungartner finished the game going 3-for-4 with four RBIs. Luke Crabb allowed only two hits and struck out seven. 

Oak Grove 7   Platte County 4
Jonathan Latshaw and Cole Doherty each drove in two runs a piece to lead the Oak Grove offense. 

John Burroughs 12   MICDS 9
John Burroughs survived a late MICDS rally to come up on top 12-9.  Jake Wood led the Bombers offense, going 2-for-5 with three runs driven in and scoring two. Peter Schnuck and Foye Oluokun each had two RBIs apiece.

In the first game, Austin Verschoore hit and pitched his way to a West win in five innings. On the mound, Verschoore struck out eight while allowing five hits and four earned runs. He also went 2-for-3 with an RBI double in the second inning and a bases loaded triple in the fifth 

In the second game, Kyle Case’s walk off sacrifice fly put Zumwalt West over Howell North for a sweep of the double header.  Case finished the game with three runs driven in, without collecting a hit. 

Oran 10   Bloomfield 7
Jacob Priggel had a 2-for-4 afternoon, driving in three runs and Kody Moore went 2-for-3 with three runs scored to lead the Oran offense. 

Clayton 10   Affton 9
Affton out hit Clayton 17 to 11, but Clayton, led by Justin Gellman’s perfect 4-for-4 game put Clayton over Affton where it counted. Gellman’s perfect game at the plate included a double and a homerun while driving in six runs.

Ste. Genevieve 10   Kingston 0 (MAAA Tournament)
In his first varsity start, Adam Fischer threw a two-hit shutout over Kingston, and got plenty of support from his offense and gave him a 4-0 cushion after the first inning. Al Gunter hit a two run homerun and smacked a two RBI double to lead the Ste. Genevieve offense.
