OUTLOOK
In 2014, the Forsyth Panters were a win away from making a trip to the Final Four at T.R. Hughes and finished as the #8 team in the state. In 2015, the Forsyth Panthers will begin the season as the #2 in Missouri Class 3, and many see them as team that will contend for the state championship. The Panthers will be loaded with experience and talent from last's years squad that posted a 20-7 record. Senior RHP/SS and Southwest Baptist signee, Jay Kaufman will lead the charge to state. Kaufman was a First-Team All-State Utility/DH selection a year ago. Junior RHP/3B Layn Hurst, is a physical 6-foot 185-pound athlete and by MHSBCA as Louisville Slugger Newcomer of the Year in 2014. Hurst was a Second-Team All-State infielder last season. Forsyth will also feature of the top athletes in the conference in CF in Jeff Schanda. The Panthers will also have experienced seniors in C Deaton Doublin, LF Ethan Haile, 2B, Austin Jasper, 1B/DH Austin Padgett and 3B/DH Kaleb Sutton. This crew of seniors will be ready to take the Forsyth baseball program to the next step in to the Final Four. The Panthers line-up will be solid 1 through 9, with experienced hitters. Coach Julian will have his guys ready to make run at the Missouri Class 3 state title.
