PBR: What schools have you been hearing from?
SPROULS: I’ve actually be contacted by a lot of schools at all levels D1, D2 and D3. Saint Thomas, Saint Johns, Winona, Mankato, Augustana, Augsburg, Hamline, Macalister, St. Mary’s, St. Scholastica, Stout, Lacrosse, Luther, South Dakota State, NDSU, University of North Dakota, University of MN-Morris, UMD, Slippery Rock

PBR: Have you developed a relationship with any specific coaches?
SPROULS: I’ve talked with a lot of coaches and have had very good conversations with many of them; but so far I've gotten to know the Saint Thomas, Winona, and St Scholastica coaches better than the rest.  I've scheduled visits at both Winona and Saint Scholastica for a more in depth visit with their respective teams next month so that will help build that relationship. I've already gone to a few St. Thomas camps which helped me build a relationship with Coach Olean.

PBR: Have you taken any visits? If so, please describe each visit.
SPROULS: These are the schools that I have visited so far: Saint Thomas – I took a tour of the college and met with Coach Olean after. I also attended one of his pitching camps last winter. Winona - I took a tour of their college this summer and have attended a prospect camp last spring. Mankato - I took a tour of their college this summer and have attended 2 prospect camps; one last spring and one this summer. St. John's - I took a tour of the college and met with Coach Haugen who gave me a tour of their field and talked with me about their program. Augustana- I had a campus tour followed by a skills showcase this summer.

PBR: Do you have any visits scheduled?
SPROULS: Yes I’m scheduled visit with Saint Scholastica, Augsburg, UND, and St. Mary's in September.  It isn’t scheduled yet but I will also be visiting Saint Thomas again in September/October as well.

PBR: Do you have any offers at this stage?
SPROULS: I’ve had a number of teams tell me I’d be a great fit for their program and would like to have me on their team.  I technically have an "offer" from St Thomas but I put quotes around it because they're D3 and they can't offer any scholarships.

PBR: Do you have a timeline for your commitment?
SPROULS: I plan on making a decision this fall after meeting with the schools I’m interested in.

PBR: Do you have a favorite at this stage? If so, who and why?
SPROULS: I'd have to say Saint Thomas is a front runner just because I’ve had good conversations with the Coach Olean and was impressed with the time he spent with me at his camp.

PBR: What showcases or events have been most meaningful to your recruitment thus far?
SPROULS: I'd say that both of the PBR showcases that I was in were probably the most meaningful for me because that's where I've been able to show off my skills the most and been seen by a variety of colleges.
