OBERG: There are several schools that I am interested in that I hope to visit this fall.
PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)
OBERG: I'm looking for a school where I will be able to grow and develop as a baseball player but also somewhere that challenges me academically and puts me in a good position to be successful.
PBR: What were some of the highlights of your junior year?
OBERG: Winning the Class 4A State Championship was the highlight of my junior year. Seeing all of the hard work we put in during the offseason pay off was an incredible feeling. The thing that stood out to me the most was how close we were as a team both on and off the field. Personally, being able to contribute in the cleanup spot for the majority of the season is something I am very proud of, and being named to the Class 4A All-Tournament Team was also an honor.
PBR: What are your goals for this year?
OBERG: After losing 13 seniors from last year's team, I hope to take on more of a leadership role and help the new guys be successful. Personally I want to keep working hard and focus on the controllables like being a good teammate. I think if all goes well we could find ourselves in a very good position to defend our State Title come June.
PBR: Do you play any other sports?
OBERG: I played hockey and football growing up but now I have shifted my focus to baseball, while also playing rec basketball in the winter.
PBR: GPA/ACT/SAT?
OBERG: I have a 30 ACT and a 3.9 GPA.
