PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?
CLUTE: I have an offer from Southwest Minnesota state right now. I have also heard from NDSU, Nebraska-Omaha, Augustana College, St Cloud State University, Mankato State, Iowa Central, Concordia College, St Johns, Augsburg and the University of St. Thomas. I have also heard from a few NAIA schools as well.
PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future?
CLUTE: I have taken one visit so far and that was to Southwest Minnesota State University. I have a few visits scheduled coming up too. On September 27 I will be visiting St Cloud State. On October 4th I will be visiting the University of St. Thomas for an all day visit and on October 6th I am going back to Marshall and visiting Southwest Minnesota State University. On October 11th I will be heading to Sioux Falls and visiting Augustana College. On October 12th I will be visiting U. of Nebraska- Omaha. Those are the visits I have set up as of right now.
PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)
CLUTE: I want to attend a school with good academics. Also I'm looking for a school with nice facilities and a good winning tradition with good people.
PBR: What were some of your highlights during your junior year?
CLUTE: Last year before my family moved to Chanhassen this summer, when I was attending Hawley High School our high school baseball team made a incredible run to make the class 2A state baseball tournament. We came up a little short losing first round by a couple runs in the last couple innings. It was a great way to end my baseball career at Hawley with having such a successful and fun season before I transferred to Chanhassen. A couple individual highlights were making the all conference and all section teams and being runner up Conference MVP.
PBR: What are your goals for this year?
CLUTE: I am very excited for this year coming into the new school and playing with a new group of guys. We should have a very competitive team with some very good athletes and good ball players and I expect us to have a very successful season and make a run at the State Tournament! I'm excited to find out who the new coach is and to get the season rolling!
PBR: Do you play any other sports?
CLUTE: I play football and Basketball
PBR: What is your ACT and GPA?
CLUTE: I got a 20 on my ACT the first time. I just took it again last weekend as well. My GPA is 2.9
