This one-of-a-kind event will feature the best uncommitted Class of 2017 prospects from our 20-plus state coverage area. The Future Games will take place on July 30 - Aug 1 (Thursday-Saturday) at Grand Park, a state-of-the-art 22-field baseball complex located in Westfield, IN, just north of Indianapolis.
The Prep Baseball Report Future Games is the premier summer scouting event for Class of 2017 prospects and select 2018 prospects. Last year, more than 110 colleges from all over the country were in attendance.

Today we are taking a sneak peek at the players, including brief notes, who have committed up to this point and will be participating for Team Minnesota-Iowa at the PBR Future Games at the end of July. Beginning next week we will spotlight each member individually.
Team MN-IA Roster (listed alphabetically)
Alex Belch, RHP/OF, Rochester John Marshall (MN), Class of 2017
Belch is a 6-foot-2, 170-pound 2-way player. Mid-upper 80's fastball on mound. Shows athleticism in outfield with 90+ velocity. Plays club baseball in summer with Marucci Elite in Louisiana.
Gregory Bennett, 2B, Western Dubuque (IA), Class of 2017
5-foot-10, 165-pound infielder who has just scratched the surface of his ability. 7.06 runner with 89 mph exit velocity. Loose hands creating good bat speed with quality rhythm in box.
Samuel Carlson, RHP/OF, Burnsville (MN), Class of 2017
6-foot-4, 185-pound player that is widely viewed as legitimate 2-way prospect at the college level. Fast twitch ability with athleticism on the field. Fastball in the upper 80's with power breaking ball on mound. Also has the ability to hit with bat speed and consistently squares baseballs.
Jack Dreyer, LHP, Johnston (IA), Class of 2017
One of the top LHP in state as a sophomore. Projectable 6-foot-2, 170-pound frame. Shows ability to command the zone with 3 pitches. Fastball currently low-mid 80's and will continue to improve.
Jacob Hitz, SS, Prior Lake (MN), Class of 2017
Shortstop with 6-foot-1, 175-pound athletic frame. Shows good actions in field. Upper echelon football player. Physical player who stands out in uniform.
Charlie Horton, LHP/1B/OF, Maple Grove (MN), Class of 2017
Horton is a 6-foot-3, 185-pound left-hander who will contribute on mound and in the field. Projectable body with ability to pitch and hit. Fastball has touched 87-88mph.
Michael Jensen, RHP, Holy Family Catholic (MN), Class of 2017
6-foot-5, 205-pound right-handed pitcher with ability to throw strikes. Worked mid 80's and touched as high as 88 mph recently at Pre-Area Code workout in MN.
Griffin Lanoue, RHP/OF/SS, Rosemount (MN), Class of 2017
6-foot-3, 170-pound athlete with ability to compete at multiple positions. 7.12 runner in 60; 83-85 mph on mound with above average breaking ball; 86 mph across infield; 90 mph arm from outfield.
Ben Livorsi, C/3B, Minnetonka (MN), Class of 2017
Left-handed hitting catcher with solid 6-foot, 205-pound frame. Shows ability to receive and is aggressive at plate with quality offensive abilities. Has versatility and is capable of playing various positions.
Oliver Martin, OF/2B, Iowa City West (IA), Class of 2017
Physical 6-foot-1, 195-pound frame. Dynamic athlete. Shows strength at the plate and runs well above average. Upper echelon athlete who will have multi-sport options to choose from at the college level.
Zach Parks, SS/OF/RHP, Apple Valley (MN), Class of 2017
6-foot-3, 170-pound athlete with lean-loose body and actions. Shows above average ability at shortstop, in outfield, and on the mound. Above average left-handed bat for his class.
Jimmy Ramsey, 1B/RHP, Minnetonka (MN), Class of 2017
6-foot-6, 210-pound left-handed hitting corner player. Shows quality tools at plate with ability to use whole field. Projectable power. Will also pitch and has the ability to run his fastball into the upper 80's- low 90's range.
Ronnie Sweeny, 1B/C, Woodbury (MN), Class of 2017
6-foot-2, 195-pound left-handed hitting first baseman. One of the better underclass bats in Minnesota. Uncanny strike zone discipline with ability to get on base coupled with flashes of pull power. Skilled hockey player at the high school level.
Nick Tarney, C, Harlan (IA), Class of 2017
5-foot-10, 210-pound right-handed hitting physical catcher. Aggressive and competitive player. Ability to handle pitching staff. Pop times in 2.0 range with accuracy. Strength in swing with 93 mph exit velocity.
Trenton Wallace, LHP/1B/OF, Davenport Assumption, Class of 2017
6-foot, 170-pound left-handed pitcher and position player. Has above average baseball I.Q. and one of the states best showing ability to pitch. Low-Mid 80's velocity with above average secondary and command. Linear actions at plate and routinely squares up baseball with authority.
Jarred Wood, RHP/3B, Cedar Rapids Jefferson, Class of 2017
6-foot-3, 195-pound 2-way player. Shows 84-86 mph velocity with heavy ball in zone. Slider and splitter both show makings of being out pitches at the college level. Also has ability in field (85 mph arm strength) along with aggressive swings in the box.
