PBR: Why did you choose Xavier University?
ZWACK: I chose Xavier University because of the great education that it offers as well as the great baseball that is played there. I also like that it is a good distance from Minnesota, but also close enough to come home a few times throughout the year.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
ZWACK: My top 3 schools were Xavier University, Cal Poly University, and Creighton University.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
ZWACK: The coaching staff saw me through a video that was sent to them, and then after that we started talking more and they saw me pitch more on a regular basis and I began to get a great feeling from the staff.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
ZWACK: I feel extremely relieved that the whole process is over. It was very fun and exciting, but there is a sense of security knowing that you have made a decision. Now I can focus on all 3 sports and just enjoy my senior year of high school.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
ZWACK: Xavier's campus was beautiful and it just had the right feel to me, and I could see myself living there and playing baseball as a Musketeer.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
ZWACK: My parents have helped me so much in both academics and athletics. They helped make sure I keep my grades up as well as always working to get better at my sports.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
ZWACK: I expected the process to move a lot faster than it did. It was tough to stay patient but I knew that in the end I would find the right fit for myself.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
ZWACK: Since I've never worked with a pitching coach, they expect me to make very quick progress towards more control and a velocity jump. The coaches have said that the chance to play is there, I just have to put in the time to make it happen.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
ZWACK: Throwing my first no-hitter vs. St. Cloud 3 years ago.
