Michigan Top Ten Breakdown: Top Viewed Prospect Profiles - #4 Grant Wolfram

Grant Wolfram#4 Grant Wolfram, LHP, Hamilton, 2015 (Detroit Tigers/Central Michigan)
Background: In his long lever frame of 6-foot-6, Wolfram shows a high-¾ arm action with plus control of a three pitches. Fastball is 87-89 with good arm-side run. Slider is a plus out pitch at 77-78 mph. Changeup has some sink to his glove side at 78-81 mph. Wolfram is a three-sport athlete in high school and has a high ceiling in his athletic body.

The Numbers: The 3rd ranked prospect in Michigan's 2015 class and 106th overall was a top performer at the 2015 Super 60, putting him on the radar of numerous MLB teams. Wolfram used that momentum into a strong spring season. The southpaw was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 17th round of the 1st year MLB player draft. The lefty has later decided to honor his commitment to Central Michigan and looks to continue his development as a Chippewa.
