PBR: Why did you choose Northwood?
Irving: I chose Northwood because I felt it was the best fit skill wise and educationally. Also when I took my visit the coaching staff was very warm and inviting and also the campus was really beautiful.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Irving: Wayne State, Savannah State, Hiram College, Clafin University
PBR: Where did the coaches first see you? How did your relationship develop with their coaching staff?
Irving: During the fall before my senior year I was playing for jet box. We were playing at a tournament in Alma. After that tournament they emailed and our talks took off from there.
PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?
Irving: they expect me to play a critical role with opportunity to play my first year
PBR: Northwood is extremely close to your home. How much of a role did that play in your decision?
Irving: No, not really education played a crucial role in my decision
PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?
Irving: This summer I will be playing for the Michigan Dawgs, Most memorable moment would be spending quality time with my teammates in Kentucky
PBR: What were your stats for last spring season?
Irving: .320 Batting Average 24 rbi’s .457 OBP
PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced?
Irving: I’ve faced a pitcher in who was topping out at 92, but locally would have to be Jacob Croneworth my freshman year
