May 18, 2015
Tyler Lowe, INF, Northville, 2015
PBR: Why did you choose Elgin CC?
Lowe: I chose Elgin because it seemed like a great fit for me. I was a late bloomer and hit a late growth spurt and decided Junior College was the right path for me. There philosophy is right up my alley at Elgin. I really like their coaching staff and all their players. They also have great success sending kids to D1 and D2 schools.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Lowe: I was considering Albion, Adrian, Siena Heights, and Calvin.
PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you?
Lowe: The coaching staff first saw me from a video that my summer coach sent them.
PBR: What team do you play for in the summer and what is your most memorable moment.
Lowe: The summer team I am playing with this summer are the Top Area Sluggers. My most memorable moment would be from high school ball last year when we won districts.
PBR: What factor played the biggest role in your decision?
Lowe: There were multiple factors that played a big roll in the decision process for me. But in the end it really came down to where I really felt like I would fit in and be able to grow as a player.
PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process?
Lowe: Truthfully I thought the recruiting process would be a lot easier and that I would have made my decision a lot sooner.
PBR: What were your stats last spring season?
Lowe: I batted .338 and had a fielding percent of .960 at third base with only two errors.
PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced?
Lowe: The toughest pitcher I faced would probably be Dazon Cole in Regionals last year.
