PBR: Why did you choose Jackson CC?
Ivory: I seen people I watched growing up attend Jackson and play for Coach Smith's program and they had nothing but good things to say!
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Ivory: I was also considering Mott Community College, Southwest Tennessee College, John Wood Community College, and Lincoln College.
PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you?
Ivory: Coach Smith and the Jackson coaching staff seen me when my fall ball team scrimmaged them at their field and followed up at Ed Santa Showcase.
PBR: What team do you play for in the summer and what is your most memorable moment.
Ivory: I play for the Great Lakes Cardinals and the Elite 32 competing against some of the best players in the nation.
PBR: Why a two year school opposed to a four year?
Ivory: Was not sure if I wanted to pursue Catching or 2nd Base also I knew if I planned to catch at the next level I would need to develop some of my tools at the catching end.
PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process?
Ivory: In the recruiting process I knew I had schools that told me I can play for them it My main focus was getting down south and playing baseball. My mind was set on Southwest Tennessee then I went to visit Jackson and it blew Southwest Tennessee out the water.
PBR: What were your stats last spring season?
Ivory: Last Spring I batted .397 with 36 RBI and was all conference and all district.
PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced?Ivory: The toughest pitcher I have faced would have to be 2016 grad Michigan Commit Karl Kauffmann of Brother Rice High School.
