No. 8 Cody Morris
Morris was the first featured player by PBR Maryland during our website launch in January. The South Carolina commit was the top ranked player in the 2015 class and projected to be the first player in the Maryland high school class taken in the 2015 MLB Amateur Draft. Morris showed a fastball up to 94 mph and a projectable frame. He was a key piece for Reservoir HS and their state championship run in 2014 and their quest to repeat.
Unfortunately Morris’ season ended early after an elbow injury requiring surgery. His draft spot went down because of the injury but still was a 32nd round pick by the Baltimore Orioles. Morris is currently finishing his first semester with South Carolina
The video of Morris was from the summer of 2014.
