Name: Matthew Beck

School: Alexandria HS
Scouting Report: A 6-foot-5, 200-pound uncommitted right-hander from Alexandria, LA. Big frame with wide shoulders and long arms. Clean, fast arm action with some effort out of a mid-3/4 release that has some tilt and angle. Fastball sits 86-88 mph and has touched 90 with life. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape, spins correctly with solid depth and deception. Overall raw product with arm strength, size and upside.

PBR: What schools have you been hearing from?
Beck: The schools I've been hearing from are Northwestern State, Nicholls State, Southeastern Louisiana, Tulane, Louisiana Tech, and LSU-Eunice CC.

PBR: Have you developed a relationship with any specific coaches?
Beck: I've developed a pretty good relationship with everyone that's been involved. The majority of coaches I've talked to, we've been in contact for a while so we've just gotten to know each other pretty well.

PBR: Have you taken any unofficial visits? If so, please describe each visit.
Beck: I've taken visits to Louisiana Tech, Tulane, LSU, and LSU-Eunice CC. I took my visits to Louisiana Tech and LSU-Eunice CC recently and really enjoyed them and the coaches who toured me.

PBR: Do you have any visits scheduled?
Beck: I've scheduled visits to Northwestern State, Nicholls State, and Southeastern Louisiana as well. I went to a game at Northwestern State earlier in the year, but not a full tour of the campus and everything.

PBR: Do you have any offers at this stage?
Beck: At this point, I just got my first and second offers from Northwestern State and Nicholls State.

PBR: Do you have a timeline for your recruitment?
Beck: I don't have a specific time for when I want to make my decision, but I want to be able to keep the recruiting door open as long as possible.

PBR: Do you have a favorite at this stage?
Beck: I definitely have my likes about each school but at this point I don't have a favorite!

PBR: GPA/ACT/SAT/PSAT?
Beck: I finished this past year with a 4.14 GPA and a 26 on my ACT.
