No. 6 Jacob Pearson {West Monroe HS}
The 6-foot, 185-pound outfielder and Mississippi State commit has an athletic, strong build with present fast twitch actions. One of the premier position players, not only in Louisiana’s 2017, but also in the entire country, Pearson is an outstanding overall athlete that has run an impressive 6.46 60 yard dash. Left-handed hitter that hits from a balanced, athletic setup with a smooth load, short stride, explosive lower half and excellent balance. Displays lightning quick bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 100 mph. Line-drive type hitter that showed advanced pull power potential hitting numerous home runs during live batting practice at the Underclass Trials. Solid defender with soft hands, fluid footwork, clean exchange, plays through balls well, but lacks in arm strength.
