As we currently sit in day three of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft, Prep Baseball Report takes a look at two Louisiana high school players that were taken on day two of the draft.
As other high school players from around the state go off the board, we will update this story.
Underneath you will find reports, the player’s profile link, and past stories the players were mentioned in.
+Josh Magee, OF, Franklinton HS(Round 5-147 Overall-San Diego Padres)
A 5-foot-10, 180-pound outfielder with an athletic, strong frame. Fast-twitch, advanced athlete that is a plus runner. Consistent 4.1 home to first from right side, 4.2 on turn, and 6.6 60 yard dash. Displays above average defensive ability with tracking speed, catches the baseball easy, quality first step, and average to slightly above average arm strength. Right-handed hitter with short, simple stroke, outstanding balance, makes consistent contact and hits to all fields. The number 4 ranked player in Louisiana’s ’15 class and Southern Miss commit finished the season with .470 batting average.
Here are some stories Magee was tagged in, including a recent draft feature by National Supervisor Nathan Rode and a First-Team PBR All-State selection.

+Kolton Kendrick, 1B/3B, Oak Forest HS(8th round-230 Overall-Minnesota Twins)
Kendrick has a large, strong frame at 6-foot-2, 205 pounds. He has as a rotational swing with exceptional bat speed and huge raw power to his pull side. He has strength at contact and creates natural leverage. He hits loud, towering home runs with backspin, but will need to shorten his path at the next level. He hit .414 with 13 home runs and 63 RBIs as a junior and his batting practice sessions will most likely turn into Louisiana folklore.
Here are some stories Kendrick was tagged in over the last six months. Including a First-Team PBR All-State selection.
