Taylor Henley, 1B, Lexington Catholic HS, 2014

Taylor Henley is a 6-foot-5, 235-pound 1B who has attended multiple PBR events, most recently the Unsigned Senior Games in August at Northern Kentucky University.

At that event, the right-handed hitting Henley registered the top exit velocity of the 65+ players in attendance at 94 mph off the tee.  He uses his strong lower half well in his swing to generate good bat speed and has shown power on multiple occasions. 

Defensively, Henley shows soft hands and moves well for his size.   At 6-foot-5, he obviously has plenty of size to play 1B at the next level. 

Look for Henley, currently ranked No.44 in Kentucky’s 2014 class, to provide good pop in the middle of the Lexington Catholic lineup this spring.  He should have plenty of RBI opportunities with the speed the Knights possess on the bases throughout their lineup.
