Season Outlook
Head Coach, Heath Gerstner, led the Bullpups to the 4A-D1 state championship game in his first season as head coach.  He enters the 2016 season with six players receiving post season honors from a year ago, with four returning pitchers who saw significant time in 2015. McPherson will be led by a pair of seniors tabbed as All-State players as juniors, Caleb Schmidt and Marcus McDaniel. UTL Jacob Loecker and RHP/OF Micah McCulley are two other seniors ready to lead the Bullpups back to the state championship, each receiving All-Conference honors last season.  There will be plenty of support from the underclassman.  Sophomore Dylan Werries played shortstop in the last six games of the 2015 season and batted .500 in the state tournament. The Bullpups will look for junior Jack Reifschneider to be an impact player as well, utilizing his speed in the outfield and athleticism on the mound. McPherson will look to build on their second place finish at state, its best finish in school history, and a make bid at the state championship in 2016.
