Kankakee Valley, led by Coach Doug Greenlee, finished 2012 with a 17-14 overall record, however struggled in the Northwest Crossroads Conference finishing 4-8. The Kougars will be inexperienced in 2013 with only two starters and four pitchers returning. 

Leading the way for Coach Greenlee is junior Jack Miles. Miles, a right-hander, and fellow junior left-hander Tim Schoonveld will anchor the pitching staff. Two seniors who will play a leadership role for the Kougars are first baseman Matt Berdine and catcher Isaac Hernadez. 

Other players expected to contribute in 2013 include junior third baseman Matt Meyers and sophomore outfielder Steve Ganzveld.
