2016 Player Spotlight: LHP Jacob Cantleberry, Center Grove HS

With the 2016 Underclass Preview Showcase coming up on October 18th, we are highlighting some of the top 2016 players in the Hoosier State.

Cantleberry is a projectable southpaw that saw his stock increase over the summer season.  The 6-foot, 180 pounder played in June's Top Prospect Games at Indiana University where he displayed athleticism with a loose, easy delivery.  He pitches from a 3/4 slot with good downhill plane on his fastball.  At the Top Prospect Games his fastball sat 82-84 with good command, and it was easy to project a velocity increase in the near future.  As the summer went on the fastball velocity did jump, sitting more 85-86 and even popping an 88. He throws a serviceable breaking ball in the low 70's with gradual break.
