Today's 2015 Player Spotlight is on Bishop Chatard HS catcher Sean Casey. Casey has attended multiple PBR events in 2013 including the Preseason All State showcase in February, and last October's 2015 Underclass Preview. 

Casey is a 6-foot-2, 180 pound catcher with a long frame. Defensively he starts with a narrow base and displays some agility.  He's a quality receiver, but does need to improve on framing the ball and eliminating unnecessary movements.  Casey possesses good arm strength at 75 mph and at the October 2015 Underclass Preview Showcase was 2.01-2.08 with his pop times. His throws to down to second are straight and consistently around the bag.  

Offensively, Casey uses a simple setup with a short stride.  The hands work well and showcases good rhythm throughout his swing.  Casey is a high contact hitter with an exit velo of 81 mph.
