2015 Player Spotlight: No. 104 Ryan Jones (Charlestown HS)

Ryan JonesToday's 2015 Player Spotlight is on Charlestown HS SS/OF Ryan Jones.  The No. 104 ranked prospect in Indiana's 2015 class attended the October 2015 Underclass Preview in Indianapolis.  

Jones is a 5-foot-10, 185 pound junior that possesses a strong upper body.  He displayed projectable power at the plate at the Underclass Preview Showcase in October.  He gets to extension with an uphill swing path and posted an exit velo of 86 mph

Jones is a more than adequate shortstop in high school, but his body type suggests he will move to 3B at the next level.  He moves well and is light on his feet with average hands.  Across the diamond from a 3/4 slot he was 77 mph.  

In the OF Jones played through the baseball well with solid mechanics.  He possesses a quick release and clean arm action and was 82 mph from the OF.  Jones also runs well, posting a 7.07 60 at the event in October.
