Today's 2015 Player Spotlight is on Mount Vernon HS (Mt. Vernon, IN) RHP Cody Mobley.  Mobley established himself as one of the top prospects in the 2015 class after his performance on the mound at the October 2015 Underclass Preview Showcase.  The updated class of 2015 rankings have Mobley ranked No. 21. 

The 6-foot-2, 170 pound junior impressed at the event with an 87 mph fastball that showed good run.  He pitches from a high 3/4 slot with electric arm speed, projecting he will see a velocity increase in the near future.  Despite an erratic front side, he still commands the zone with four pitches.  

Mobley showcased two different breaking balls; a 71-72 mph curveball with tight rotation and depth, and a 73-77 mph slider.  His other off speed pitch was a 73-74 mph changeup with sink and fastball arm speed.

Mobley is a high follow this spring.
