2014 Team Preview: Springs Valley High School

As we prepare for our 2014 high school preseason coverage, we are going to take a quick glance at teams from across the state.

OUTLOOK:  

Head Coach Doug Partenheimer and the Springs Valley HS  Hawks will be in rebuilding mode this spring. The 2013 squad finished the year 8-16 overall, with a 2-4 conference record.  This season they return just three starters and two arms.  Partenheimer will rely heavily on junior RHP/3B Josh Bates and senior C/1B Joe Wilson.  Bates is a 6-foot, 195 pound junior that finished last year hitting .371 and threw 44 1/3 innings with a 2.84 ERA.  Wilson is a 6-foot-1, 200 pound senior finished last season with a .348 BA.
