As we prepare for our 2014 high school preseason coverage, we are going to take a quick glance at teams from across the state.

OUTLOOK:  Coach Steinhilber's 2014 Hawks baseball squad returns 8 starters from last year's 15-10 team.  They lost two seniors, including a North All-Star in Kyle Joyce.   The Hebron Hawks return a veteran club in which 6 returners played in 2012's Semi-State game. They also bring in a talented group of freshman.  Needless to say, expectations are high for the Hawks 2014 season. They'll be led by sophomore Stephen Doelling, an OF who started varsity as a freshman last year.  Doelling is a 5-foot-10, 165 pound OF/RHP who was 3-0 on the mound last season. Another sophomore, Paul Miskus, should be a key contributor at the plate.  As a varsity starter last season, the 5-foot-9, 160 pound Miskus hit .400 for the Hawks.  Three year starters Majcher, Hanaway, and Hernandez along with senior Mike Mikulich will be contributors this spring as Hebron looks to compete for a conference and sectional championship.
