Unsigned Senior Showcase 1.12.14: Stats Posted

The January Unsigned Senior Showcase concluded with many of the top ranked players showing strongly, as well as a number of unknown players climbing to the forefront.
Today we release the stats from the event and Cody Carroll (Glenbrook South) put up the most impressive line of numbers. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound outfielder ran a 6.7 60 while throwing 90 mph from the outfield and posting an 89 mph exit velocity from the tee. Infielder Brian Seymour (T.F. South) was equally impressive showing an 84 mph arm across the infield, 87 mph exit velocity and ran a 6.85 60. Jack Holden (Schaumburg) was another impressive outfielder that showed an excellent combination of speed and power. Holden ran a 6.78 60 with 91 mph exit velocity from the tee, Holden also showed athletic actions from the outfield with an 84 mph arm.
RHP Peyton Cypress (New Berlin Eisenhower, WI) may have been the biggest surprise of the day. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound righty topped out at 88 mph while showing lively secondary stuff. His curveball had sharp biting action at 72-77 mph.
Other impressive arms were Doug Van Dyke (Bartlett) who sat 84-86 mph topping out at 87 mph, Anthony Santos (York) who topped out at 88 mph and Robert Gutierrez (St. Laurence) who sat 86-87 mph from a ¾ slot.
