The 10th season of The Prep Baseball Report’s extensive coverage of Illinois high school baseball began on Monday, March 17. The season will end in Joliet at Silver Cross Field on Saturday, June 14, with the crowning of the 2014 Class 4A State Champion. In between, there will be numerous monster matchups throughout the state. Huge crowds, MLB scouts with their radar guns, and the media out in full force. Hopefully sunny, blue skies and 70-degree temps will be present, too, though not likely.
Here are a number of must-see showdowns I foresee coming to fruition this spring.
