At the Illinois Class of 2014 Showcase in November 2012, Mosley stood out as one of the most athletic players in attendance. He was 6-foot-1, 185 pounds at the time, but now checks in at a strong 6-foot-2, 205 pounds. At the showcase, he showed a strong, accurate arm from the outfield with natural actions and ran the 60-yard dash in 6.78 seconds. He improved that 60 time a few months later at the Illinois Preseason All-State Showcase by running it in 6.65 seconds.

Through each event, Mosley has displayed excellent bat speed with a flat path, explosive lower half from a balanced setup.
