Executive Director
The Prep Baseball Report is pleased to announce that Ryan Quigley has officially joined our staff in capacity of Illinois Scouting Director. With his baseball roots firmly entrenched in Illinois, Quigley will help take PBR Illinois’ in-depth, comprehensive coverage to the next level, along with Illinois/Wisconsin Scouting Supervisor Steve Nielsen.
Quigley brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our scouting staff. Quigley’s decorated playing career included six years of professional baseball with the Padres, Nationals and Diamondbacks organizations. In 2012, he led the California League in strikeouts as a reliever.
After graduating from Joliet Catholic Academy HS, Quigley went on to star at Saint Xavier University, where he accumulated many accolades, including NAIA Region VII Pitcher of the Year, and twice earning NAIA honorable-mention All-American. Quigley finished his career at Saint Xavier second all-time in wins, strikeouts, and innings pitched.
Quigley went on to get his Masters degree from St. Xavier while serving as the team’s graduate assistant baseball coach. During the spring, Quigley worked as an area scout for the Prep Baseball Report while teaching English at Joliet Township HS.
Quigley is a household name in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. His two sisters, Allie and Samantha, were star basketball players at Joliet Catholic Academy and DePaul University. Allie earned Ms. Basketball in Illinois and currently plays for the Chicago Sky, while Samantha is the head basketball coach at St. Francis.
