Porsche Exchange Player of the Week: LHP Bryan Hudson
April 1, 2015
By Ryan Quigley
Illinois Scouting Director
Alton's Bryan Hudson is the No. 4 ranked player in Illinois' 2015 class, and his pitching exploits have been well documented. The 6-foot-7, 200-pound southpaw with a 90 mph fastball has been a terror both on the mound and at the plate during the No. 16 ranked Redbirds' fast 6-0 start.
On the mound, Hudson is currently 3-0 in 12 innings pitched, allowing three hits, with 29 strikeouts and only three walks. He has yet to allow a run, and in fact no base runner has reached second base. He threw a six-inning no-hitter on Saturday against Civic Memorial with 14 strikeouts.
If that wasn't enough, the Missouri-signee has also been a terror for opposing pitchers, carrying Alton's offense in the process, hitting .615 (8-for-13) with three home runs, 12 RBI and two doubles.
For his efforts, Hudson has been named the first Porsche Exchange Player of the Week for the spring 2015 season.
The Porsche Exchange salutes Hudson’s hard work and success.
