Several more prospects have named their schools recently:

+ Tyler Hasper, a 6-foot, 180-pound RHP from Waubonsie Valley HS, has committed to Heartland CC. Currently ranked No. 30 in Illinois’ 2014 class, Hasper opened eyes at the PBR Top Prospect Showcase in June when he topped out at an event-best 93 mph fastball. He was also clocked at 89 mph from the outfield and ran a 7.35 60.

+ Heartland CC also received a commitment from LHP Ian Hall from El Paso/Gridley HS. Hall went 10-1 as a junior last spring.

+ Nathan Haacker, a physical 6-foot-2, 200-pound catcher from Sycamore HS, has committed to John A. Logan JC. Haacker is currently ranked No. 32 in Illinois’ 2014 class. He possesses considerable arm strength behind the plate and pull-side power at the plate.

+ Ryan Hutchinson, a 6-foot-3, 175-pound SS/3B from Mattoon HS, has committed to Illinois State. Hutchinson showed well at the PBR Top Prospect Showcase in June, where he showed a level right-handed swing, ran a 7.14 60 and was clocked at 77 across the infield. Hutchinson is currently ranked No. 157 in Illinois’ 2014 class.

+ C.J. Santoyo, a LHP from St. Rita HS, has committed to the University of Utah. Santoyo helped the Mustangs to the IHSBCA summer state championship in July.

+ Adam Kowalski, a 2013 6-foot-4, 200-pound RHP from Buffalo Grove HS, has committed to North Park University.
