CHICAGO, IL - In game two of the Chicago Public League semi-finals, Simeon took care of business beating Lane Tech by a score of 10-5. Senior leadoff hitter and Vanderbilt commit Ronell Coleman set the tone for the Wolverine offense. Coleman had a perfect 4-for-4 day at the dish with two doubles, two RBI, a run scored and a stolen base.
Simeon jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and never looked back. Thanks in large part to a first inning RBI triple by Louisville commit Corey Ray. Wolverine starter Jamary McKinney worked hard to keep the lead in Simeon's hands. McKinney struck out eight en route to the win and a birth into the CPL title game. Simeon will now take on Morgan Park for the Chicago Public League Championship.
