Mike Madej homered, doubled, scored three runs and had three RBI for the Celtics.

Carmel 7, Fremd 6
Cooper Johnson hit a two-run homer and the Corsairs broke a 6-6 tie on a sacrifice fly by Drew Weigman in the top of the seventh. Joey Lake went 3-for-3 and picked up the win with 1⅔ innings of relief.

Warren 13, McHenry 3
Luke Schmitt went 3-for-3 with four RBI for the Blue Devils.

Fenwick 7, Maine South 5
Jack Grace hit a three-run homer in the first inning for the Friars. Jay Militello had two hits and drove in a run.

Richards 10, Marist 6
Brenden Butler hit a three-run homer and Nick Fritz went 3-for-3 for the Bulldogs.

Barrington 13, Deerfield 9
Tristan Michaels went 3-for-5 with a home run and five RBI for the Broncos.

Hinsdale Central 4, Stagg 3
Jake Ryder doubled home Spencer Garnett with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh. Drew Mullarkey had two RBI in the victory.

Oswego 9, Neuqua Valley 9
Kevin Ringlein went 4-for-5 with a double, a triple and three RBI for Neuqua in the eight-inning tie. Gabe Panza homered and Cody Peterlin had three hits and three RBI for Oswego.

Simeon 15, Perspectives/Leadership 1
The Wolverines cruised in their Class 3A playoff opener.
