No, that is not a scoreline for Todd Kuska’s St. Rita Mustang football squad. No, the Mustangs did not score three touchdowns in the first quarter but they did score 21 runs in the first inning. St. Rita (7-0) sent 26 men to the plate, of which 21 scored. The Mustangs had nine hits, seven walks, four Morgan Park errors and one batter hit by a pitch for their 21 runs. Tennessee-bound Tyler Halas singled, doubled and drove in two runs in the inning. Max Franklin (2-0) pitched a hitless first inning to pick up the win and Dan Budziak fired four scoreless innings allowing just one hit, with seven strikeouts, in relief. Anthony Faron and Mateo Zunica both singled and had two RBI, while CJ Weydeman singled and doubled in two trips to the plate. Grant Mullen chipped in with two singles and two RBI off the bench.
Fenwick 8, Naperville Central 0
Fenwick (3-0) made a clean sweep at Lenz Field in Jacksonville, blanking the RedHawks behind Quinn Snarskis. Snarskis (1-0) fired a three-hit shutout with 13 punchouts. Snarskis did not walk a batter. Casey O'Laughlin tripled and drove home two Friar runs while Kevin Forde doubled and had an RBI. Ryan Pierson chipped in with two singles and an RBI.

The Redskins hammered the Indians in five innings at Lenz Field in Jacksonville on Sunday morning. Red-hot Tyler Bodner led the Morris (5-2) attack with two triples and three RBI. Gabe Sajnaj singled and drove home a Redskin run while Jake McDonald was 2-for-2 with a single and a triple. Cody Newienski improved to 3-0 on the mound with four scoreless innings and three strikeouts.
Burlington Central 7, Madeira (FL) 1
Burlington Central (3-0) opened up a 6-0 lead after three innings and coasted to the victory in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Jake Johnson (1-0) fired five scoreless innings for the Rockets allowing two hits with five strikeouts to pick up the win. Andy Wiss had two doubles and plated a pair of Rocket runs. Max Judnic singled, doubled and had two RBI. Tanner Smith chipped in with three more singles and an RBI.
Madeira (FL) 5, Burlington Central 1
Burlington Central (3-1) suffered its first defeat of the season in its second game of the day in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Craig Schuring had two singles and plated the lone Rocket run of the game.
Loveland (CO) 1 Stevenson 0
Stevenson (0-1) lost a heart-breaker to the Colorado power on Sunday. Loveland scored in the bottom of the sixth against hard-luck loser Justin Stark (0-1). Stark allowed one run and five hits while striking out four in his solid 5.1 inning stint. Patriot leadoffman Charlie Ling had two of the three Patriot hits on the day.

Stevenson (1-1) rolled to its first win of the 2015 season behind Michael Marchese. Marchese (1-0) threw three scoreless innings allowing three hits to pick up the win on the mound. Marchese singled and doubled in two trips to the plate as well. Willie Bourbon also was 2-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI. Pat Loeffler, chipped in with a single, two runs scored and an RBI for the Patriots.
Glenbard South11, Boyd (SC) 6
In Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Glenbard South (1-1) exploded for six runs in the top of the fourth, erasing a 4-3 Boyd lead and went on to a resounding victory over its Palmetto State opponent. Michael Ashe had two doubles and drove home four Raider runs, while Andrew Wrona had two singles, a double, a triple and plated two Raider runs. Alex McGimpsey chipped in with a single and two RBI.
Lake Forest 6, Olentangy (OH) 0
In Myrtle Beach, SC; the Scouts won 6-0 over their opponents from Ohio. Mark Turelli threw six innings with nine strikeouts. Cal Coughlin shut the door in the seventh with two strikeouts in the Scouts' season opener.
