Jacob St. Peters struck out 10 in his complete-game victory, allowing five hits and a walk to out-duel Edwardsville’s Jake Garella, who gave up two unearned runs on three hits while striking out 10. Derrick Allen had two RBI without the benefit of a hit for Alton. Garella went 2-for-2 for Edwardsville.
No. 3 Plainfield North 7, Minooka 2
Josh Garner struck out eight while allowing two hits in 5⅓ innings for North. Anthony Agne went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs and Josh Heckman hit a home run in the victory. Zach Earls drove in both Minooka runs.
Glenwood 6, No. 4 Sacred Heart-Griffin 0
Jacob Maton allowed one hit in 6 ⅔ innings, striking out 10 and walking five in the upset. Ben Trask doubled, tripled and drove in two runs for Glenwood. Logan Cody reached base four times and scored twice in the victory.
No. 6 Jacobs, Woodstock North 2
Daniel Salomon went 4-for-6 with seven RBI, including a grand slam in the 14-run seventh inning for Jacobs. Stevie Krueger added four hits in the victory.
No. 7 St. Laurence 12, Lincoln-Way West 3
Matt McCormick drove in eight runs with two doubles and a single for the Vikings. Zach Verta hit a two-run homer and Joe Vascik allowed two runs on seven hits in five innings for the win.

No. 10 St. Charles North 5, Batavia 0
Jack Lambert struck out 12 in six innings while allowing four hits and no walks for the North Stars, who made the most of their four hits in the Upstate Eight Conference victory. Sam Faith drove in a run and scored on Blake Saltsman’s single in North’s two-run fourth.
No. 11 O’Fallon 20, East St. Louis 0
Joe Guithues homered and had five RBI for O’Fallon.
No. 12 Oak Park 7, Willowbrook 5
Connor Johnson’s two-run triple broke a 5-5 tie in the sixth inning. Connor Nelson went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI for OPRF. T.J. Geritano doubled, tripled and had two RBI for Willowbrook.
No. 13 Providence 8, No. 19 Joliet Catholic 6
Matt Waznis drove in three, including a two-run double that tied it at 6-6 as Providence scored three in the fifth and two in the sixth to overcome a 6-3 deficit. Jack Surin had three hits and KC Simonich hit a home-run for JCA.

Konnor Ash recorded the win for South.
Libertyville 3, No. 16 Mundelein 0
Ben Kimpler and two relievers survived 10 walks to combine on a no-hitter in the six-inning victory for Libertyville. Kimpler walked seven and struck out three in five innings. Jackson Peterson had two hits and an RBI.
No. 18 Naperville Central 7, Glenbard North 4
Winning pitcher Ryan Eiermann hit a two-run homer in the DuPage Valley Conference victory. Eiermann allowed two earned runs on six hits while striking out six and walking none.
No. 20 Sandburg 9, Thornwood 1
James Jankowski belted a pinch three-run homer and Kevin Cronin drove in three as well for the Eagles. Starter Matt Owens did not allow a hit in 3⅓ innings, striking out six and walking four.
No. 23 Lincoln-Way North 8, Joliet Central 1
A six-run explosion in the sixth inning carried Phoenix to an 8-1 win in seven innings over Joliet Central on Tuesday. Ben Troike went 2-for-4 with a home-run for Lincoln-Way North.
No. 25 Mahomet-Seymour 4, Prairie Central 3
Brooks Coetzee singled home Tom Kenney with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh. Prairie Central struck first two runs in the fourth on an RBI double by Corban Roberts and a run-scoring single by Tom Shafer. Kenney pitched Mahomet-Seymour out of trouble in the top of the seventh to record the victory.
Hinsdale Central 2, St. Joseph 0
Andrew Jurack throws complete game, 9K no-hitter for Hinsdale Central. Quentin Wallace had an RBI double for the Red Devils.
Maine South 7, Niles Notre Dame 6
David Fleita’s two-run double was the big blow as the Hawks scored three in the bottom of the sixth to erase Notre Dame’s 6-4 lead. Russell Langan earned the win with four hitless innings of relief.
Downers Grove South 9, Leyden 0
Zach Jones pitched five hitless innings and Michael Cipriano recorded the final three outs of the combined no-hitter for the Mustangs. Danny Oriente went 3-for-3.
Neuqua Valley 11, Metea Valley 1
Eric Nelson had five RBI and Connor Rektorski allowed three hits in six innings for Neuqua.
Lake Park 7, Waubonsie Valley 1
Connor Cook struck out 10 in six innings and A.J. Ackerley had three hits for the Lancers. Matt Oliver had two hits for Waubonsie.
Wheaton North 12, Wheaton Warrenville South 4
Casey Becker had four RBI, Ryan Muehfelt hit a home run and Zach Colangelo did not allow an earned run in six innings to earn the victory.

Colton Carr struck out seven in a five-inning three-hitter and went 3-for-3 with three RBI.
Stevenson 3, Warren 2
Patrick Loeffler hit a home run in the sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie for the Patriots. Justin Stark allowed two unearned runs on eight hits in his complete-game victory.
Herscher 6, Beecher 3
Winning pitcher Tyler Fisher went 4-for-4 with a three-run homer and four RBI for Herscher. He allowed two earned runs in five innings before Anthony Engelman closed the door with two scoreless innings for the save.
Illini West 12, Barry Western 11
Jackson Porter went 4-for-5 with three RBI and was instrumental in the Chargers’ two-run seventh, driving in the tying run with a single and breaking the 11-11 tie on Wyatt Logan’s RBI single. Porter also pitched the bottom of the seventh for the save. Donovan Schvanke singled, doubled and tripled for Barry Western.
Dundee-Crown 3, Conant 2
Erik Hedmark struck out the only batter he faced with two on and two out in the bottom of the seventh, saving the victory for Matt Wiechmann.
Jacksonville 12, Lanphier 3
Adam Hillis pitched a three-hitter and hit a home run for Jacksonville. Hillis struck out 10 and walked three, allowing one earned run.
Lincoln-Way Central 9, Stagg 7
Tyler Schuerg hit a tie-breaking two-run homer in the top of the sixth for the Knights. Brandon Bennitt reached base three times and drove in two runs in the victory.
New Trier 6, Loyola 4
Dylan Horvitz had an RBI double for the Trevians. Thomas Smart had three hits and Kevin Knapp pitched five hitless innings of relief for Loyola.
Plainfield East 11, Oswego 1
Joe Antonopolous pitched a six-inning no-hitter and Cole Lynch went 3-for-5 with three runs and two RBI in the victory.
Naperville North 5, South Elgin 1
Matt Schwartz limited South Elgin to a run on four hits in six innings and went 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Huskies.
Maine West 8, Buffalo Grove 7
Sean Russell’s three-run triple was the big blow in Maine West’s four-run bottom of the sixth. Chase Marsh had two hits and two RBI for Buffalo Grove.
Montini 9, Lisle 2
Danny Mallory struck out eight in five innings and Justin Blake went 3-for-4 for the Broncos.
Freeburg 6, Wesclin 4
Austin Sweet’s second two-run double broke a 4-4 tie in the top of the seventh. Joe Wolf pitched five solid innings and Elias Czech worked a scoreless seventh for Freeburg.

Percy Walters hit a home run for H-F.
Grant 11, Round Lake 1
Scott Porten drove in three runs and Bryan Libby struck out six in three innings for the Bulldogs.
Kenwood 5, Harlan 4
Harlan took a 4-3 lead with two in the top of the seventh, then Kenwood responded with a walk-off two-run double by Brandon Green. Sonny Powell struck out 10 in 6 ⅔ and Jared Hunt struck out the only batter he faced to record the win.
McHenry 9, Crystal Lake Central 2
Bobby Miller allowed two hits in five innings and Owen Patzin went 3-for-3 with two RBI in the victory.
Shepard 5, Argo 2
Jack Carberry pitched a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts and went 2-for-4 for Shepard. Brendan Krob hit a two-run homer for Argo.
Aurora Central Catholic 7, IC Catholic 4
Johnny Belskis and Jake Smith had three hits apiece and Sean Sinisko struck out 12 in the complete-game victory.
Carmel 5, Glenbrook South 3
Matt Collins drove in all five Carmel runs with a three-run homer and a two-run single. Joe Santoro allowed two hits in five innings to earn the victory.
Lake Zurich 3, Deerfield 1
The Bears made the most of their three hits, getting triples from Ben Cornelius and Tyler Snep in the victory. Shane Nolan struck out eight to overcome five walks in 4⅔, and Matt Svanson retired all seven batters he faced to save the win.
Vernon Hills 8, Antioch 5
Brennan Reback and Joe Rangel belted back-to-back two-run doubles and Vernon Hills rallied for five in the bottom of the sixth.
Morgan Park 10, Whitney Young 2
Thalame Byrd went 3-for-3 and scored four runs for the Mustangs. Myles Norman pitched a three-hitter.

Anthony Adduci hit a home run for the Saints.

Chad Cwik allowed one hit and struck out 12 in five innings and Billy Dunne struck out the side for the save. John Roberts went 3-for-3 in the victory.

Will Herbert’s RBI single in the bottom of the seventh won it for DePaul.

Luke Colton had two hits and scored three runs for Hoffman Estates.

Justin Sosa pitched 3 ⅔ strong relief innings, allowing an unearned run on two hits while striking out four for the Friars.

Christian Camacho pitched a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts and no walks.
