Niles Notre Dame 10, No. 1 Jacobs 0
Matt Segovia
homered, doubled and drove in three runs as Notre Dame’s six-inning victory spoiled the excitement of being PBR’s newly minted No. 1 team. John Hendry and Alec Van Pelt combined on the four-hit shutout, with each striking out three in three innings. Ranko Stevanovic had three hits in the victory.

No. 3 St. Laurence 16, Montini 1
Matt McCormick
had two of the Vikings’ four  home runs and had six RBI. Jack Cavanuagh and Jake Diaz also went deep for St. Lawrence. Joe Vascik allowed two hits and struck out seven in the five-inning victory.

No. 4 Brother Rice 6, De La Salle 1
Brett Bagus
had three hits and Ryan Kutt allowed an unearned run on three hits in five innings, striking out six. Kutt also had a sacrifice fly in the first inning and an RBI double in the second. Mike Massey added two RBI.

No. 5 St. Rita 10, St. Ignatius 6
Charlie Rodriguez
went 3-for-4 with five RBI, including a three-run double in the top of the seventh, to power the Mustangs. Blake Soria had two hits and Mateo Zunica drove in two runs. Dylan Gilbert went 3-for-4 with a homer and a double for St. Ignatius, which led 6-5 after six.

No. 8 St. Charles North 6, Batavia 4
Zach Fick’s
two-run single in the bottom of the sixth broke a 4-4 tie. John Legare went 3-for-3 in the victory. Christian Sidoti struck out three in two perfect innings to earn the win.

No. 9 Providence 11, Fenwick 0
Matt Waznis
tripled, doubled and had three RBI for the Celtics. Brendan O’Hara added three RBI and Jackson Dvorak and Zach Pych drove in two runs apiece. Connor Creed and Kurt Dankovich combined on the five-inning shutout.

No. 11 Sandburg 15, Thornridge 0
Five Sandburg pitchers combined on a no-hitter in the five-inning victory. Evan Tenuta went 3-for-4 with five RBI.

No. 14 Waterloo 5, Jersey 1
Tyler McAlister
pitched a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts and went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI for Waterloo. Arkansas recruit Jordan McFarland also went deep in the victory.

No. 15 Naperville Central 5, Metea Valley 4
Conor Joyce
had a two-run double in the four-run third as Central turned a 2-1 deficit into a 5-2 lead. Connor Gurnik had two hits in the victory. Connor Lovely had two hits, including an RBI double, for Metea Valley.

No. 17 Oak Park 11, Lyons 6
Connor Nelson
hit a grand slam as the Huskies took the rubber game of their three-game series with LT. Jack McMullen got the win for OPRF.

No. 18 Nazareth 9, No. 21 Joliet Catholic 4
Winning pitcher Richie Kiernicki and Carson Bartels hit home runs in the first inning for the Roadrunners. Kiernicki allowed four hits and five walks while striking out four in the complete-game victory. Brandon Bossard went 3-for-4 with two RBI for Nazareth. Drake Fellows had two RBI for JCA.

Hersey 6, No. 24 Prospect 3
Matt Johnson
struck out eight in the complete-game victory and Paul Tokar went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Sacred Heart-Griffin 12, Quincy Notre Dame 2
Jack Plattner
went 3-for-3 with a homer, a double and four RBI for the Cyclones. Tommy Drake added three hits and Jake Shea went the distance in the six-inning victory.

Morton 7, Dunlap 0
Vinny Massaglia
pitched a three-hitter with eight strikeouts and one walk. Dan Bolt hit a three-run homer.

Maroa-Forsyth 4, Unity 3
Braden Willoughby
pitched a complete game and became the winner by racing home on Cooper Hitchens’ single in the bottom of the seventh. Clayton Sprague hit a home run in the victory.

Rochester 12, Olympia 2
Tyler Fitzgerald
hit a home run and Chase Kuntzman went 3-for-4 with four RBI for the Rockets.

Prairie Ridge 8, Crystal Lake South 7
Luke Annen
hit a grand slam as Prairie Ridge overcame a 6-0 first-inning deficit. Robin Kim went 3-for-3 with three RBI in the victory.

Carmel 10, St. Viator 1
Connor Pett
pitched a three-hitter and hit a home run for the Corsairs. He struck out nine and walked one in the ESCC victory. His homer with two aboard in the top of the first gave Carmel the lead for good.

Benet 6, Marian Central 5
Alec McEachern
had a two-run single as Benet rallied for four runs in the bottom of the sixth. Zach Strons pitched three scoreless innings to earn the win in relief.

Libertyville 5, Grant 4
Tim Calamari
went 2-for-2 with three RBI and winning pitcher Colin Fields allowed one earned runs on five hits in six innings, striking out six and walking one.

Wheaton North 7, Naperville North 4
Casey Becker’s
two-run double in the top of the first gave the Falcons the lead for good. John Carlson had two hits and two RBI in the victory.

Waubonsie Valley 3, Neuqua Valley 2
Luke Gregorio
hit a solo home run in the top of the seventh to break the 2-2 tie. Jason Neville allowed one earned run on five hits in six innings for the win. Jacob Hennessy pitched the seventh for the save.

Deerfield 3, Maine South 0
Zach Shutan
pitched a three-hitter and Sam Fradin doubled, singled and scored a run for Deerfield.

Glenbrook North 4, Glenbrook South 3
Noah Taffel
pitched 6⅓ innings and Kevin Burnside and Jordan Kaplan had two hits apiece in the victory.

New Trier 8, Maine East 0
Ryan Acri
struck out seven in five scoreless innings and Kevin Donahue hit a home run for the Trevians.

Loyola 6, DePaul Prep 1
David Blankenship
pitched a three-hitter and Thomas Smart went 3-for-4 for the Ramblers. Jack Lombardi added two hits and two RBI.

Palatine 7, Conant 5
Dan Schnerberger
went 3-for-4 with a solo homer in the four-run sixth for Palatine. Winning pitcher Chris Refka doubled twice and had two RBI. He struck out 12 to survive 11 hits in six innings. Ryan Roberts went 4-for-4 for Conant.

Barrington 5, Schaumburg 1
Brooks Gosswein
struck out 10 and allowed two hits in seven innings and the Broncos broke it open with four in the top of the ninth. Colin Starvel had a two-run single in the rally. Connor O’Keefe got the win with two perfect innings of relief.

Elk Grove 5, Rolling Meadows 0
Brett Taucher
struck out eight and allowed four hits in 5 ⅔ and Joe Leone got the final four outs of the shutout for the Grenadiers. Jack McEnroe went 3-for-3 with two doubles and Auburn recruit Christian Camacho added three hits in the victory.

Buffalo Grove 8, Wheeling 5
Chase Marsh
had two hits and two RBI and Leo Rule went 2-for-2 with two runs and an RBI for the Bison.

Wauconda 8, Grayslake North 7
The Bulldogs drew even on Jake Grobelny’s two-run double in the bottom of the sixth and walked off with their sixth straight win when John Herbst delivered an RBI single in the seventh.

Antioch 12, Grayslake Central 1
Ben Gutke
went 2-for-3 with five RBI for the Sequoits. John Neville allowed three hits in the five-inning victory.

Homewood-Flossmoor 11, Crete-Monee 0
Percy Walters
went 3-for-3 and Zaid Walker belted a two-run triple in the five-run third for H-F.

Bremen 3, T.F. South 2
Mike Fuentes
pitched a three-hitter and did not allow an earned run in the victory. Colin Brown had an RBI double for Bremen.

Lincoln-Way East 3, Hinsdale Central 1
Tony Witczak
pitched a three-hitter with five strikeouts and one walk for East. Jake Pomykalski had two hits and two RBI in the victory.

Oak Forest 5, Stagg 3
Winning pitcher Andrew Rodriguez had two hits and two RBI for Oak Forest. He allowed three runs on six hits in six innings.

Shepard 7, Evergreen Park 1
Jack Carberry
pitched a three-hitter with 13 strikeouts and no walks and A.J. Alarcon had two hits and two RBI for Shepard.

Bolingbrook 10, Joliet Central 2
Jeremiah Lebron
went 3-for-3 and Maliek Wade had two triples for Bolingbrook.

Glenbard South 2, Wheaton Academy 0
Fabian Garcia
pitched a four-hitter with nine strikeouts and three walks for South. Sean Cooke had an RBI triple in the two-run first.

Sycamore 5, Yorkville 3
Zach Carlsen,
the No. 9 hitter in Sycamore’s lineup, hit a three-run homer with one out in the bottom of the seventh.

Kaneland 4, Morris 1
Jake Ring
drove in all four Kaneland runs with a sacrifice fly in the first inning and a tiebreaking three-run homer in the fifth.

Matt Pizur
tripled and doubled and Kyle Ferguson had four RBI for Willowbrook.

Michael Sebby
went 3-for-4 with a home run and Nathan Bertuca had two hits and three RBI for the Rams.

Brent Headrick
pitched a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts for Reed-Custer.

Chris Krennrich
had two RBI and Nico LoDolce had two hits for the Skyhawks.
