Bradley University landed a pair of talented Class of 2014 prospects when it received commitments from SS/OF Chris Whelan (Benet Academy HS, IL) and MIF Mike Riesner (Neuqua Valley HS, IL).
The 5-foot-10, 165-pound Whelan, who’s ranked No. 41 in Illinois’ loaded 2014 class, is a versatile athlete who is a top-level hitter. Whelan was a member of Team Illinois at the Midwest Future Games last August. Riesner is an athletic, slick-fielding middle infielder who should make an impact for Neuqua Valley this spring.
