No. 6 Spencer van scoyoc

Scouting Report:
5/3/16- Arizona State commit. Ranked No. 1 in Iowa, No. 29 Overall, No. 45 in PBR Draft 100. Lean athletic 6-foot-4, 194-pound left-handed pitcher. Delivery is balanced and repeatable, strong front side, slighty higher, loads lower half at the top of balance position, slight coil, heel to toe landing squared to target, keeps front side closed.  Arm action is loose and easy, high ¾ slot, free and easy extension out front. Showed command of his fastball, tough angle on lefties, sat 86-89 mph, looks harder than velocity suggests, gets on hitters quickly, held velocity through five innings. Curveball is tight with biting action and depth, 72-74 mph, 1/7 plane, showed ability to throw to both sides of the plate backdooring right handers and expanding the zone on lefties. Used changeup to both righties and lefties, 80 mph, fading action with feel. Easy three pitch feel with plus potential for all three, starting pitcher type projection.
