PBR: Why did you choose Southeastern CC?
BROWN: I chose Southeastern CC because I felt like it best suited me in what I wanted from a college baseball program.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

BROWN: I was also considering the University of Illinois-Springfield.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?

BROWN: Coach Schulte umpires a lot of my high school games and they have been to many of the showcases I have attended.  I knew of him because the college is located in my hometown and after he got a hold of me we just started talking throughout the recruiting process.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?

BROWN: I do feel relief from my decision, I also feel I made the right choice, so there was no second guessing my decision.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?

BROWN: Factors that played a role in my decision was saving my money for two years, being able to develop into a better baseball player with a winning program, and having the comfort of staying in my hometown.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?

BROWN: Coach Schneden, Coach Glascow, Cody Gabella, and Travis Whitmore have helped me a ton with coaching and making me into a better baseball player but, I´d like to thank my dad most for always being there to throw me BP and giving me the opportunity to work with everyone I have worked with.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?

BROWN: I really did not know what to expect coming into the process, but now that it´s finished I´d say it´s more of a stressful thing than easy or hard.  I say that because this choice determines your future for college, and I was most worried about making the right decision for myself.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?

BROWN: The coaching staff has plans for me to develop into a better player by getting bigger/stronger and by grinding out the game so I can move onto the next level of baseball, that being Division I baseball.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?

BROWN: This whole fall season with the PG Iowa Select has been very memorable.  We have traveled to many places and played some of the best high school players this fall. The Lake Point and Jupiter events were probably the coolest and most competitive tournaments I have ever played in.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?

BROWN: I don´t know a ton of names of players I have competed against, so I´d have to say Spencer Van Scoyoc.  I have competed against him and played on the same team as him.
