Prep Baseball Report's IA Fall Review event took place on Sunday, October 16, 2016. The event was held indoors at Sports Iowa located in Ames, Iowa. The event featured 2017-2020 prospects from Iowa and Kansas who showcased their talents in front of our scouting staff. Outfield Prospects

Brandon Cable, LHP/OF, Ames, 2018
6-foot, 160-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player. 6.96 runner. Simple square stance, pre-set hands with slight rhythm, consistently squared baseball, flashes pop in bat, mid/pull approach producing hard line drives, 82 mph exit velocity. Raw actions in outfield, quick release, stiff arm action, sinking throws to target, 70 mph arm strength from outfield.

Josh Fitzgerald, OF, Mason City Newman, 2019
6-foot, 170-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. 6.81 runner. Square stance with leg kick trigger, some length to contact with arm bar but has loose hands creating above avg. bat speed, gap to gap approach, clean swing plane with lift through contact, above avg. pop in bat, 82 mph exit velocity. Good actions in outfield, long arm path, some length to release, accurate to target with solid carry, slight cut action on ball out of hand, 83 mph arm strength.

Karlos Lilly, OF, Des Moines East, 2017
6-foot-2, 162-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. Taller lean build, athletic high-waisted frame. 7.11 runner. Slightly open stance, strides to square, inverted C load, line drive swing plane, consistent solid line drive ground ball contact, mid/pull approach, 81 mph exit velocity. Plays fast in outfield with good athletic actions, solid routes and angles, gets rid of ball quickly with accuracy to target, clean fast arm out front with carry on throws, 83 mph arm strength from outfield.

Ethan Timm, OF, Southeast Polk, 2017
5-foot-9, 170-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. 7.45 runner. Open stance, strides to square, leg kick trigger to swing, steep uphill plane through contact, pull approach at plate, 81 mph exit velocity. Aggressive fielder, clean arm action, solid carry and accuracy on throws, plays through ball well and follows throws, 79 mph arm strength from outfield.

Cale Warren, 2B/OF, Davenport West, 2018
5-foot-11, 165-pound switch-hitting utility player. 7.64 runner. Active load and stride from left-side, pull approach, aggressive swinger, flashes solid pop in bat. Shows easier rhythm from right side, shoulder load, mid/pull approach, ground ball and fly ball contact, squared baseball more consistently from right-side, 62 mph exit velocity. Solid actions in outfield, clean arm action, fast hand out front, accurate to target, 79 mph arm strength from outfield. On the infield shows athleticism with clean exchanges, decent range and actions, arm plays on left-side, accurate to bag, 79 mph arm strength.
