Taking into consideration the late fall, winter season and events such as the Preseason All-State scouted over the last couple of months, we have updated the Iowa 2018 rankings once again.

Over that time we have seen a number of guys make jumps and plenty of new prospects who made a name for themselves. It has caused a good amount of reshuffling and allowed us to expand the rankings from 50-to-100.

RHP Gus Radel (Sioux Falls Roosevelt (SD), jumps to the top of the class in Iowa and is the 89th ranked prospect in the PBR Overall Rankings. Radel, a physical right-handed pitcher, has made a significant jump since his participation in the 2016 PBR Future Games. Currently un-committed; the South Dakota product has been receiving significant D1 interest as one of the best available arms in the country in the 2018 class. At the IA Preseason All-State event; Radel made a splash consistently throwing 90-93 mph in his bullpen session with heavy sink; along with showing a solid 11/5 breaking ball and a sharp slider with depth. Impressive as his velocity is- what separated him was his ability to command the zone with three pitches- and looks to have even more in the tank in the future.
