Evaluation:  3/13/16- 5-foot-8, 155-pound right-handed hitting catcher. 7.12 60 time. Smaller fast twitch build. Open stance. Leg kick trigger and strides to square. Clean repeatable swing. Consistent solid contact with flashes of pull pop in bat. Mid/pull approach. 77 mph exit velocity. Flexible lower half. Some strength in holding pitches in zone. Clean exchanges with short clean release. Longer arm load effects pop time. 2.28 pop time with 72 mph arm strength.

PBR: Why did you choose Iowa Central CC? 
LOGAN: I chose Iowa Central because it just felt like the right fit for me, and had everything I was looking for. Their campus and facilities are very nice and Iowa Central has a bigger school feel. Also player development was another huge reason, they consistently turn out Division 1 players, which is the goal for me.

PBR: What other schools were you considering? 
LOGAN: I was considering Bradley, Creighton, Upper Iowa, Buena Vista, Heartland, and Indian Hills.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them? 
LOGAN: They first saw me play against Dowling Catholic in Des Moines last summer. Our relationship didn't really begin to develop until this fall when they saw more video of me. Then they got in touch through email and eventually spoke on the phone, and a week or so later I took a visit to Iowa Central. After the visit we stayed in touch and talked on the phone a couple more times before I made my decision.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school? 
LOGAN: I definitely feel relieved, not having to worry about where I'm going next year is huge. Now that it's out of the way I can just focus on working to prepare for this upcoming season. I can also have confidence in everything I'm doing because I know I'm going to Iowa Central, and don't have to take up time in the recruiting process trying to pick a school.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
LOGAN: No, it was multiple factors that went into my decision.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today? 
LOGAN: Definitely my Mom and Dad. If it weren't for my mom everything I do wouldn't be possible, she does so many things for me every day. I have never paid for a personal baseball coach for hitting or fielding like so many kids do, it has always just been me and my dad. We always go down to the cages or to the field to work on things, so I owe him for the baseball player I've become today. Both of my parents and my grandfather Terry Logan, have taken me to baseball tournaments, practices, and camps ever since I can remember. If it weren't for their help I definitely wouldn't be where I am today.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult? 
LOGAN: When I was younger my views about the recruiting process were I thought it was just like NCAA Football the video game and all these D1 coaches just come to you wanting you to be the starter or 2nd string and you just picked the best school that gave you a starting spot immediately. That couldn't have been any further from reality and I realized that as an 8th or 9th grader. The recruiting was pretty difficult for me being an undersized guy. I came across a lot of coaches that were interested but it was hard to gauge how interested. When it seemed I found a couple right fits those schools had coaching changes, so that was tough. It was also hard my junior year changing positions because I was behind a senior catcher, I felt that hurt me in the process.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season? 
LOGAN: No playing time is guaranteed because you have to earn it. If I can hit then they have to find a spot in the lineup for me.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date? 
LOGAN: That's a tough one because I've had so many. But, I would have to say my sophomore year when I was playing on the UBA All-Star team when we traveled to the University of Kansas for a tournament that had some of the best teams in the Midwest. I played up as a 15 year old on a 16U team. There was lots of great moments from that tournament but the best one is when I came up to bat in the Championship game in the bottom of the 7th down by 1 with runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs. I hit a line drive into right field to tie the game, and I still can visualize it to this day.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against? 
LOGAN: I've played against and with a lot of great players but Brendan Dougherty is the best I've played against.
