This week’s Unsigned Senior spotlight is Jarred Mattos, of Fivay High School. Mattos is a RHP and MIF and has started all 4 years on the Falcon’s varsity squad. He has a loose ¾ arm action that reaches 85-86, shows a good feel for change up, and has the ability to throw a breaking ball in any count which leaves hitters guessing. 

During his senior campaign, Mattos finished with a 3-3 record, a 3.74 ERA on the mound, and striking out 38 in 54 innings. A versatile player, Mattos also started in the middle infield. Offensively, he contributed as well, batting .295, 12 RBI, 8 doubles, 3 triples, and 1 homerun.
